Our mission at PURIST is to produce and retail a range of natural soap and body products using sustainable ingredients, locally sourced (where possible), employing local people therefore supporting the local economy. PURIST is to trade as a social enterprise generating a business surplus that is reinvested into the enterprise for the benefit of furthering this and other related community projects.
The products we make are unique in the fact that they are all made by hand on site, using ingredients from companies who source raw materials sustainably and ethically. In addition our products are not tested on animals and are suitable for people with sensitive skin and also vegans as no animal by products are used in the production. We at PURIST believe that our range of products are tailor made for today’s more environmentally aware consumers, as more and more people are concerned about the impact their daily lives are having on the world around them. This presents us with a strong marketing opportunity as the consumer can enjoy our range of naturally luxurious products with a clean social conscience.
What makes us different?
The main difference between PURIST and its closest rivals is that the customers can not only watch the whole process of production in the retail environment but can purchase products exactly the same as they have just seen made. In addition we intend to run work shops where groups such as schools, youth clubs, disability groups, and companies can come and learn a new skill and make and take away there own bespoke product.
PURIST aims to provide placements for long term unemployed to support them back into employment through involving individuals in the production of products outside of the outlet; building confidence, skills, progression into further Education, Employment or Training
