Craig Long Landscape Painter

Craig started painting in 2001 shortly after moving to Devon, having been given a Watercolour kit as a Christmas present this is the medium he started with. Watercolour is still the backbone of his work today, although he does paint in Gouache, Acrylic and Oils. His unusual application of Watercolour has become his distinctive trademark, building layers of paint one on top of another to gain a rich depth of colour and detail rarely seen with watercolour.

Craig became self employed as an artist in 2005 and has since steadily built up a portfolio of work ranging from Dartmoor to the coast and even as far as Cumbria. His distinctive style and broad range of subject  matter has made his work very popular both at home and abroad, and has led his work to being chosen for numerous greetings cards, calendars and now book covers.

Diana Tregaskes

Ever since her school days, Diana knew that her calling was to work as an artist. An early career in retail management, marriage and  raising two children did not prevent her from achieving a Designer Maker degree (BA Hon’s) in her mid-thirties.

By that time Diana had already been working successfully with paints on silk and, following her formal studies, her interests expanded across various media and subject matter.

Many of Diana's inspirations stem from her detailed Macro photography of the natural world. She is fascinated by the wealth of colours and textures nature provides and this forms the theme of the first public exhibition of her work.

Diana's present collection includes her striking, textured abstract work which shows her passion for color and movement, and her love of flowers is clearly apparent in the masterful detail of her unique floral portraits.

Luke Ashby

Welcome to “TREE OF LIFE” JEWELLERY.  This symbol is one of everlasting life, growth, happiness and good fortune.  My name is Luke Ashby, designer and manufacturer, working in gold (yellow and white) and silver.  I have been producing jewellery in Wales for over 20 years and I have continued, since moving to Devon, in 1998.

I have been inspired by Celtic designs and patterns in nature and I find gold and silver excellent media in which to express my ideas.  Knowledge of my designs has extended across the Atlantic to North America where many people of Celtic origin find appeal in my designs.  My work may be described as a modern interpretation of traditional Celtic and Art Nouveau styles.  Jewellery ranges from rings to earrings, necklaces, pendants, bangles, and silver and gold chains.  A wide variety of stones are incorporated into the jewellery.

Since moving to Cockington Court, I have sold either by visitors buying at the studio or by posting all around the globe.  My work is very much ‘hands on’ and people appreciate seeing me at work.

I believe that my jewellery should be available to all at prices people can afford.  This is made possible, when I sell direct to the public at realistic, straight from the workbench, prices.

Over the years I have built up a repertoire of customers who regularly visit the studio.  Although there are many different sizes of rings and a wide selection of jewellery on display, pieces can be made to order.  Also, new designs are regularly being added to my collection.

Please feel free to come to the studio and have a look at my jewellery – you will be most welcome.
